Amazing giveaway at Sometimes Sweet!
Danielle over at one of my favourite blogs, Sometimes Sweet, is hosting a big ol' 9 person giveaway in honor of her entering the wonderful world of blog sponsors. If you haven't already heard of it you should mosey over and check it out. This is a great opportunity to get to know some seriously awesome shops as well as maaaybe win something from one of them, like those super cute cards above. I know I'm crossing my fingers. ;)
Riley's 1st Birthday
Yesterday I went to my friend Anna's son Riley's 1st Birthday Party. It was so cute! Riley recently started walking, and he was motoring all over the house interacting with all the people that came. Another funny thing was that if you had been there and were wondering about the stages of babies, you'd have gotten a brilliant visual example. There was me being pregnant, our friend Z who brought her 20 day old son, Anna's friend Sarah with her 6 month old son, and Anna with Riley who just turned 1! Super funny.
Anyways, as it was a 1st Birthday, there isn't really a ton to write about. But here are some cute pictures!

Halloween
Sitting in my bed, watching the new episode of South Park, I had a realization:
There are only 11 days left until Halloween!!
I got so excited I had to mosey over here and post about it, because that's what this thing is for, yes? I just can't believe this year has gone by so fast. It seems like so little time has passed since last Halloween - getting ready to go out at a friend's house. Mixing up a huge bucket of fake blood because Ashley and I decided we were going to be pin-up zombies. Loving that I got to spend the night with John, and still having "us" be in that really exciting, new stage. We'd only been together 3 months at that point, and we were pretty much obsessed with spending all of our time together. Still are, actually, after a year and a half. ♥ It was such a great night. We went downtown and walked for a while, ran in to some people, and marveled at some pretty hilarious/creative/awesome costumes. Then, because it was freezing out, we went to Denny's like teenagers where I got super sick and ended up going home. Still, the best Halloween I've had in this little life of mine so far. This year, I don't think I'll be going out because I'll be 35 1/2 weeks along at that point and I'm already far too tired and huge to go out. So, I'll leave you with a few of my favourite photos from last year and know that I'll be enjoying this year from at home. :)

Nesting?
Lately, all signs point to me beginning that lovely stage in pregnancy called nesting. I didn't even realize that's what was going on until a momma friend of mine pointed it out today, but it makes sense! I have become obsessed with cleaning my house. Today, I spent almost 4 hours DEEP CLEANING my kitchen. If I wasn't 34 weeks pregnant, I'm sure it wouldn't have taken me that long, but I kept having to take breaks. And tomorrow, I plan on cleaning my bathroom in the same fashion, because it's killing my soul every time I walk in there. It's clean, but not clean enough apparently. :)
In other news, the weather here has gotten so nice over the past week, and I'm so so excited about it. It was all dark and gloomy and (to non-pregnant people, I'm sure) cold out today. I spent the afternoon with all my windows open loving the crisp, fresh air coming in and blasting some sweet tunes while I cleaned. It's extra great because the closer it gets to winter, the closer I get to meeting my sweet baby girl! She's going to be the best baby, I'm sure of it. ♥
