This is one of my all time favorite photos of Kaetana, ever. I took it when she was two weeks old (after I had recovered enough from my c-section to actually move around!) and it always makes me so happy to look at. It really shows her little personality so well, and what a goober she's always been. Plus it's painfully cute, don't ya think? Anyways, I discovered this fantastic, amazing giveaway today and couldn't resist entering. It's always a long shot as far as winning goes, but hot damn I've just gotta try! If I do win I'm going to have this photograph turned in to a painting! How exciting is that?! Anyways, not that I'd like any more competition, if you'd like to enter this giveaway go ahead and either click that link up there, or the button below. Good luck! (Not really.)

Eyes
This is my entry for this week's photo challenge over at The Paper Mama.
Kaetana is often complimented on her eyes,
and I'm happy because my entire pregnancy the only thing I ever said was,
"I really hope the baby gets John's eyes."
...and SHE DID!

What She Wore v.2
I may be a teeny bit obsessed with the clothes from my work.

And the pond in my Grandparent's backyard is my new favorite photo backdrop.

It always serves me well, and Kaetana is so interested in it!

Maybe the next 'What She Wore' post, she'll be wearing something other than jeggins!
....but, ya know, probably not. ;)
Oh, and those pink high tops are from John's mom -- how CUTE are they?!
I sure do adore this little camera ham.

What She Wore v.1
I'm not stylish.
I don't have a closet full of super cute clothes I thrifted for a dollar,
and I don't wear amazing dresses all the time.
I wear jeans and whatever shirt looks clean on my floor.
I still don't fit in most of my pre-pregnancy clothes,
and until that happens I won't be posting any kind of style post about me.
But! Fear not, because I do have one very stylish (in my opinion) lady in my life
and here she is what she wore yesterday:

What girl doesn't need a great pair of skinny jeans that makes her butt look that good?!
And, as always, we must promote the spread of peace.

Oh, you also might have noticed that I watermarked these photos. I think I'm going to resume taking the extra step in editing and add it to all my photos again. It just feels better to me.

Newborn Shoot: Baby Angelina
Today I got to shoot some photos of my new baby cousin, Angelina. She is so tiny and precious! I really liked taking these photos, and think they turned out pretty well if I do say so myself - especially seeing as they were done on my couch against a black sheet. haha

Loving this sweet sleep smile!

Wordless{ish} Wednesday
{This was taken at the lake on the 4th of July. We went to John's company picnic and it turned out to be kind of a dud, to be honest. It was probably pretty good earlier on in the afternoon but John didn't get off work until 5:30 and we had a couple errands to run before we headed out there so I think we just caught the end of it. Oh well, it was still nice to get out and we took a walk and enjoyed the fresh air. Kaetana was pretty busy looking around at everything because it was new to her and it made me definitely want to go back there on our own soon! I think she'd like getting a little closer to the water, too. Plus it's just a beautiful place to begin with. Anyways, I loved these two photos of her and John together. I think they turned out perfectly!}

Your Best Shot
I love The Paper Mama blog, it's one of my favorites. Chelsey is so fun and creative, and her little Ruari is ridiculously cute! I often enter her photo challenges, and this one's no different. It's her "Your Best Shot" challenge, and I'm kind of excited about it. I looked through my photos of Kaetana for a really long time before I decided which one I would consider my best.
I love everything about this photo.

sears portrait studio
As everyone is aware by now, I take about a million photos of Kaetana a day. I love that I can go back and see how much she's already changed (as though it's not obvious!) and that I've kept such great documentation of her life thus far. That being said, despite the many photos I do take of Kaetana on my own, I still head over to Sears once a month to get a "professional" portrait done of her. I bought a year's membership for $10 which gets me a free 8x10 with each visit, no sitting fee, and buy-one-get-one on any other sheets I decide to get. This, my friends, is an awesome deal! And our Sears is actually really great which is lucky because I know some of their studios have the worst photographers. Anyways, I thought I'd go ahead and show you her 4 month photos we just picked up yesterday.
I got that top photo (3 panel collage - 8x10), middle (8x10) and bottom (5x7 plus 4 wallets - 2 sets) for $20 total. So really I'd totally suggest any Mom to go check out their local department store studio (not walmart) and see what kind of work they do. It's affordable if you know what you're doing, and the results can be really great. Plus, who doesn't want cheesy studio portraits of their kids?

Update & Photo Dump
I've been in a funk lately and haven't felt much like blogging I guess. I'm still looking for a job and it's total bullshit in this town. Nowhere is hiring and the places that are either think I'm too qualified, or under qualified. So far I've had zero luck and it's really really starting to stress me out! We just can't survive on John's salary alone for much longer. Oh and Kaetana has been sick, too, which doesn't exactly help in the whole 'having spare time' department. I'm basically here to dump a bunch of photos on you and leave, but I'll be back tomorrow with a new feature I'm starting (and will actually keep up with past a few weeks, I promise!)
Here are some photos from the past couple weeks :)
top left - blowing raspberries ; top right - another new toy ; bottom left - being a goof in the jumperoo ; bottom right - caught mid-yawn
